Michel Delhommeau, Dame de Onze Heures Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine 2023
The vineyards of Michel Delhommeau are part of the traditional landscape of the Nantes vineyards. Located in Monnières, a charming village of some 2,100 inhabitants nestled in the heart of Muscadet, in the Loire Valley, between the Sèvre and the Maine, about 20 minutes south of Nantes. The estate comprises of 25 hectares of vines, which have been in organic production since 2013. Dame de Onze Heures Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine 2023 is made from 100% Melon du Bourgogne, left on its lees for 12 months prior to bottling. Equal parts refreshing, mineral and sapid, it has a nose of melon, green apple, pear and lemon zest. The palate is vibrant and bright, with further citrussy notes carrying the long finish. A great wine to pair with seafood or soft cheeses.
